In 2015, Sabrina Horlyck and Kristin Campbell, the founders of Squamish Water Kefir Co., were navigating their own health journeys, grappling with persistent gut issues. Their personal struggles led them on a quest to find relief, and they discovered the transformative power of fermented foods.
The journey began with Sabrina brewing the first batch of water kefir in her kitchen while studying at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. The results surpassed expectations. The brew not only brought relief to her own gut issues but gained popularity within her family and community. The defining moment came when a stranger tried their "magic potion" and sent a text expressing its positive impact.
Partnering up, Sabrina and Kristin transformed Squamish Water Kefir Co. from a small kitchen operation into a thriving business. From delivering to neighbors in a little red wagon with Sabrina's daughter in tow to expanding product innovations and distribution across provinces, the company has come a long way. 
Today, they take pride in producing delicious functional food products brimming with lab-tested vegan probiotics and digestive enzymes, contributing to the well-being of their customers' guts and overall health.
